My Family Connection to the
Shannons
Marshall Hubbard Shannon was born at Dayton, N.Y. on Aug. 19, 1836. He died
in Fredonia, N.Y. on March 15, 1918. On Feb. 21, 1867, he married Victoria Knowlton
at Byron, N.Y. She was born July 14, 1841 at Byron and died Dec. 22, 1929 at Fredonia.
Marshall and Victoria had a daughter, Carrie V. who married
Ralph Simmons on June 14, 1905.
Ralph H. Simmons and Carrie V. Shannon were married June 14, 1905
in Fredonia, N.Y. by Rev. J. B. Espy, Presiding Elder of the M. E. Church. She was
born July 17, 1877 and died March 7, 1920 in Batavia, N.Y. On May 23, 1923, Ralph
married Edith Trick of Stafford. She was born April 26, 1880 and died April
8, 1975.
Ralph H. Simmons and Carrie V. Simmons had a son, Arthur Marshall
born Sept. 23, 1907. Arthur M. married Margaret Lockhart, of Rochester
on October 10, 1936. She was born on Aug. 2, 1915.
Arthur M. and Margaret had a daughter named Janet, born May
6, 1939. Janet married Norman J. Lincourt of Rochester on June 30,
1962. Norman J. was born March 27, 1937.
Norman and Janet had 2 children, Lori L., born Feb. 15, 1964,
and Norman J., Jr, born March 21, 1966.
