Burial Site of
Sgt. Marshall H. Shannon
Marshall Shannon and his wife Victoria were laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetary
(Section R), 57 Lambert Ave, Fredonia, NY. In July 1999, I finally located their
graves and took these pictures. It was kind of an end of a long journey to finally
find their grave sites. All those years of creating this site, kind of culminated
into that one sunny afternoon. I sat by their graves just thinking about them for
a long time. Someone had placed an actual G.A.R. marker at Marshall's headstone.
I don't know who it was but it was nice to see that someone still remembered them.
